My passion in ham radio are the old tube type radios from 1973 to 1983 like the Henry TEMPO ONE, TS520 and the FT102. I own all three!
YAESU FT-102 has three 6148s producing 200 watts PEP on SSB, and about 175 watts CW. KENWOOD TS-520 has a pair of S2001A's producing 125 watts on SSB. Henry Tempo One has 16 tubes, 7 transistors with a pair of 6JS6s producing 140 to 150 SSB. Love antenna work like we all do. 40/80 Double Bazooka, 40/80 Vertical, 17 meter vertical, 6 meter squalo, 4 element 2 meter SSB beam. In the garage are my 2 element 12 and 17 meter beams and 10 meter 5 element beam. Took both down to move to Oklahoma, but the winds out here just may be too much for me to risk them up in the air until such time I can get a hazer. Just last night we had sustained winds from 43 to 63 MPH, and April to the end of June, supercells galore!!
My other interests are: Owning my own aerial drone company, photography, web development, astronomy, RC Airplanes (I have 8) and maintenance of our RC Airfield runway 500' by 50' and mowing the 6 acres around the field.
